Condor conservation

Annette Keller, Regent of the Malibu chapter of the DAR (left), and her granddaughter Macy Keller Feld presented a program at the chapter's Jan. 10 meeting, entitled "California Condors: A Conversation."

The Malibu chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution’s Jan. 10 meeting centered on California condors.

Malibu DAR Regent Annette Keller and granddaughter Macy Keller Feld developed and presented a program to teach children how to preserve their planet and its species, and to spread conservation awareness.

They chose to study the California condor, a critically endangered species, because the DAR State Regent’s conservation project is the Condor Exhibit, soon to open at the Santa Barbara Zoo.
