Optimist Club honors essay winners

The Malibu Optimist Club honored the winners of its essay contest at the Essay Contest Awards Breakfast last Thursday. First place was awarded to Georgia Johnson, second place went to Emory Sittig and Eden Concoff placed third.

More than 40 Malibu High School Students competed in the essay contest, themed “How my positive outlook benefits my community.” Winners received gift cards and medals.
