Malibu local Diane Peterson and her 1998 Ferrari 355 GTS received two awards at the Ferrari Club of America’s annual meet.

Local resident and Realtor Diane Peterson received the Platinum Award and the Coppa Bella Macchina Award at the Ferrari Club of America’s annual meet in Palm Springs Oct. 10-14.

In order to win the Platinum Award, Peterson’s 1998 Ferrari 355 GTS had to earn more than 95 points from the judges. She could then compete for the Coppa Bella Macchina Award, which means “beautiful machine,” where every item on the car must function like it did when it left the showroom.

Peterson is the original owner of the 355 and the president of the Ferrari Club of America Southwest Region. In addition to celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Ferrari Club, the chapter raised $20,000 for the Ronald McDonald House Charities at the event.
