Longtime Malibu resident and veteran Pepperdine University staff member Lou Drobnick has been appointed executive vice chancellor. A former vice chancellor at Pepperdine, Drobnick will lead the Center for Estate and Gift Planning, Pepperdine Fund, Major Gifts, Corporations and Foundations, Alumni Affairs, and Waves of Service.
Drobnick has served Pepperdine for more than 26 years in progressively responsible roles and has overseen the growth and success of several strategic organizational boards including the Crest Advisory Board, Seaver Board of Visitors, Athletic Advisory Board and Seaver Parents Council.
“Drobnick has been one of the most visible and active representatives to the Malibu community,” said a Pepperdine University press release, “building strong relationships with local and county community members and leaders within the Malibu Chamber of Commerce, the California Coastal Commission, and the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors.”
Drobnick’s new position will become effective July 1.
