Local nonprofit organization Safety Harbor Kids is hosting its fifth annual Spirit of Goodwill holiday party to benefit homeless and foster children in the Los Angeles area. The event will feature a musical performance by the Safety Harbor Travellin’ Band with James Belushi, Miss California Katie Blair and actors Sophia Milos, Bai Ling and Patrick Kilpatrick, among others. Additionally, music lessons, toy making, arts and crafts, and a visit from Pearl the Wonder Miniature Horse will take place. More than 100 teenagers involved with the organization will be in attendance.

“Our events help kids behave better because they have something to look forward to,” Malibu resident and SHK Mentor of the Year Cynthia Randall said. “I can really see the change we have on them at our events.”

The holiday party takes place Sunday at Duke’s Malibu, 21150 PCH, at 2 p.m.

Additionally, the organization is hosting a toy drive for youth in need. Gifts for teens ages 13-17 can be dropped off at Duke’s until Saturday.
