A driver attempting an illegal U-turn near the intersection of Las Flores Canyon Road and Pacific Coast Highway walked away uninjured Friday night after her car was struck by another vehicle and rolled over, sheriff’s officials said.

“[The accident] was cleaned up and out of the way in an hour, which is kind of amazing for a rollover,” said Lt. John Lecrivain of the Malibu / Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station.

The two-car collision was reported at 11:10 p.m. Friday night. Lecrivain said the driver “pulled out from the curb,” and was struck by a male driver while attempting to make a U-turn. Neither driver was injured. Air bags in both cars deployed, and both drivers were wearing their seat belts, Lecrivain said.

The cause of the accident was determined to be an “unsafe lane change,” he said.

Names and ages of the drivers, as well as the directions the cars were traveling at the time of the accident, were unavailable Saturday as the traffic sergeant for the Lost Hills station was out of the office over the weekend.
