Sanford Abel Thompson died peacefully Sept. 14 in Santa Monica. He was 89 years old.
Thompson, a World War II U.S. Army combat veteran, is preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Margie White Thompson. He is survived by his daughter Linda Thompson of Malibu, with whom he lived for the past 10 years; son-in-law Sam Thompson and daughter-in-law Louise Thompson, both of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren Amy Thompson, Jennifer Attie, Brandon Jenner and Brody Jenner, all of Los Angeles; and brother Adrian Thompson of Tupelo, MS. Family members describe him as a kind, patient and devout man who lived his life in unselfish service.
