The newly formed Los Angeles County Office of Cannabis Management is inviting residents of unincorporated areas of the county to weigh in on how cannabis should be regulated.
Following the November statewide vote to legalize the recreational use of cannabis throughout California, LA County Supervisors have elected to embark on an “extensive listening tour” to hear from residents about what they would like to see.
The listening session closest to Malibu will be held in Calabasas on Saturday, July 22, at King Gillette Ranch from 9:30-11:30 a.m.
Topics up for discussion include rules for cannabis businesses, rules for the cultivation of cannabis for personal use, taxation and revenue, and youth access and exposure, among others.

Details about cannabis regulations within the City of Malibu may be found by looking in the Malibu Municipal Code, available at malibucity.org, and searching for “marijuana.”
