Former local promoted at Pepperdine

Keith Hinkle

Keith Hinkle was recently promoted to senior vice president for advancement and public affairs at Pepperdine University, continuing in his role as chief development officer. Hinkle had served as vice president since 2006 and first joined the University in 2000.

“Keith’s leadership has resulted in Pepperdine earning the trust and confidence of a growing number of friends and donors,” Pepperdine President Andrew K. Benton said. “Keith is a valued colleague and friend, and Pepperdine is fortunate to count on his dedication and commitment to the university.”

As a member of the university’s senior administrative team, Hinkle serves on the president’s steering committee and has overall responsibility for a wide range of programs, including fundraising, alumni affairs and events. He also has responsibility for public affairs, including university marketing and communications and public relations and news. Prior to serving as vice president, Hinkle was associate vice chancellor and led Pepperdine’s Center for Estate and Gift Planning.

The former Malibu resident lives in Westlake Village with his wife Elizabeth and their children, Jackson, Maegan and Matthew.
