Local singing group Cimorelli will perform a free benefit concert at Malibu Bluffs Park on Sunday, May 5, to benefit the family of Ronald Carver, a tow truck driver who was killed in Malibu on Feb. 11.

Katherine Cimorelli, one of the sisters in the group, witnessed the death of 45-year-old Carver when he was struck by a car while assisting with her disabled vehicle on PCH near Pepperdine University.

Admission to the concert is free and attendees are encouraged to make donations in support of Carver’s widow and three children.

Earlier this month, Cimorelli asked the city for help in finding a venue to hold the fundraiser. On April 8 the City Council is expected to approve an agreement allowing Cimorelli to use Bluffs Park free-of-charge. The six singing sisters will also hold a benefit in Newbury Park on April 12.

The Bluffs concert is scheduled for 4 p.m. on May 5. Donations can be made via PayPal.com to ronlcarvermemorialfund@gmail.com or via mail to:
