Several hundred parents and friends of Webster Elementary School partied into the night Saturday at the school’s annual fundraiser. The theme was “Bollywood in Malibu,” and the party was held at the Marwah Ranch on Pacific Coast Highway.
Funds raised support PTA-sponsored programs such as classroom teachers’ aides, computer lab, art instruction, music and other educational programs for which funding is otherwise unavailable.
Popular auction items included tickets to U2 and Taylor Swift concerts, set visits to the TV show “Suite Life on Deck,” a Dodger luxury suite and a chance to be principal for a day. Webster Principal Phil Cott, who is celebrating his 20th year as principal of Webster, was emcee for the auction.
