Youngsters show skills on the soccer field

The Malibu Parks and Recreation “Tiny Pros” Soccer program provided an exhibition skills session during half time of last weeks Pepperdine University women’s soccer game. Encouraged by a large crowd attending the game, these young players performed basic soccer moves before scoring goals and accepting the audience applause. Brian Miller, Director of the Brit-West Tiny Pros Program explained, “ If any of our tiny pros made it to play at Pepperdine or be the next ‘Beckham’ we would be delighted, but our real goal is to instill our little team with a sense of confidence, coordination, friendship and a love of the game. We would like to thank Kevin Borzenski of the Pepperdine sports department and the women’s soccer team for making it such a day to remember for these young players.”

The next session of the Tiny Pros Soccer Classes (ages 2 to 5) begins this week. To register, go to www.ci.ma
