Reports of three men being arrested Tuesday night for attempting to smuggle drugs onto a Malibu beach have been confirmed by the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s station. Sgt. Stephanie Shrout said Los Angeles County lifeguards alerted the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s station of a suspicious boat just off the Latigo Beach shore Tuesday at 10:30 p.m. After confirming that it was a panga boat, Sheriff Deputies notified the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Following a failed attempt to escape, the suspects who have been identified as adult male Hispanics, were arrested near Point Dume.
