Malibu native Joseph August graduated with honors from Loyola Marymount University with a degree in business administration on May 11. He graduated in the top four percent of his class and as a member of Alpha Sigma Nu and Beta Gamma Sigma Honors Societies. August also belongs to the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity at the university.
During his time at LMU, August worked as a staff photographer for the school’s University Relations and as an intern for Belkin International, Inc.
Growing up in Malibu, August attended Juan Cabrillo Elementary School, Carden Conejo School and Oaks Christian School. He is the son of Kay Fransen, a veterinarian, and Rick August, a longtime Malibu resident and real estate attorney.
