Malibu resident James Townsend of the Westlake Wrestling Club placed fourth in the 2010 California State Greco Roman Wrestling Championships last weekend in Tulare. Townsend competed in the 112-pounds weight class in the 11- and 12-year-old division. He qualified for the state meet by placing in the regional meet in Santa Barbara last April. By placing in the top six, Townsend qualified to compete this month at the USA Wrestling Youth Western Regional in Idaho.
