Free Arts for Abused Children originated in Malibu 30 years ago. It continues to deliver meaningful programs into the lives of children and youths who have been abused, homeless or are at-risk. The organization inspires hope in lives of these children through innovative arts programs and positive interactions with caring adult volunteers.

The organization is holding a fundraiser celebration Oct. 25 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at The Sunset Restaurant, located at 6800 Westward Beach Road. This year’s honoree chairs are Anthony Hopkins, Laird Hamilton and Gabrielle Reece. The master of ceremonies for the evening is Drake Hogestyn. Students from O’Neill’s Fine Art Studio, a partner in supporting this event, are donating their artwork in an effort to help children less fortunate than themselves.
