Actor Mel Gibson put his Malibu estate up for sale this week for $17.5 million.
This 6,578 square foot residence was built in the mid-1990s. It has five bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, a guest house, two pools and a gym. The home was built with authentic Old World architecture, including wood and glass doors that open to stone archways, exposed beams and architectural artwork.
The private estate, with a gate and long driveway, enjoys perks including close access to the Malibu hillside and the beach. The property includes membership to La Costa Beach and Tennis Club, a private beach club in Malibu.
Gibson’s listed home is not his first Malibu property; he has bought and sold several multimillion-dollar homes on Malibu’s beachfront. The actor still owns a few homes in Malibu’s hills.
