Malibu High School senior Searra Silverberg (middle) has been announced the Most Valuable Player and MHS girls’ water polo Head Coach Tim Segesman has been announced the Coach of the Year of the Tri-Valley League girls’ water polo team.
The 2008-09 Malibu High School varsity girls’ water polo team is the first in the school’s history to advance to the CIF finals. The Sharks made it to the finals after an undefeated regular season, clinching the Tri-Valley League Championship and a hard-fought playoff run, but were defeated by the Bonita Bears in the CIF Division VI finals earlier this month.
