The NCAA recognized Pepperdine’s Aaron Brown (OF/LHP) Tuesday with the Player of the Week honors for his performance last week after tossing eight scoreless innings and hitting two home runs in the 10-0 win Sunday against Santa Clara.

Along with the NCAA, the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper acknowledged Brown as Player of the Week and College Sports Madness gave him the West Coast Conference Player of the Week.

Brown was one of five players the NCAA honored this week and is one of only five pitchers in Division I to have a home run and pick up a win in the same game, not to mention being the only player to do it twice.

The Waves star is batting .363 along with four homers and 22 RBIs. Brown, who has a 4-1 record, and fellow teammate Corey Miller are tied with 43 strikeouts, which puts them at the top of the WCC in that category.Â
