‘Sister, Sister’ Star Tosses First Pitch at Waves Ballgame

Actress Tamera Mowry-Housley threw out the first pitch at her alma mater Sunday, bringing good luck to the Waves as the Pepperdine University men’s baseball team mowed down league foe Portland 6-1. 

Mowry-Housley, a 2003 graduate of Pepperdine, is best known for starring with her identical twin sister Tia Mowry-Hardrict in the television series “Sister, Sister” from 1994-1999. 

She also plays Dr. Kayla Thornton on the medical drama “Strong Medicine,” and stars with her sister on “Tia and Tamara,” which debuted on the Style Network in 2011.
