The Pepperdine women’s tennis team wrapped up their regular season as West Coast Conference (WCC) regular season champions.
The No. 61 Waves secured the title with a 4-0 victory over San Francisco at home on Saturday, April 23. Doubles pairs of Matea Cutura and Luisa Stefani and Laura Gulbe and Dzina Milovanovic both defeated their opponents to secure the doubles point.
Junior Apichaya Runglerd-Kriangkrai posted a 6-1, 6-0 victory in the singles competition and senior Matea Cutura dominated her opponent 6-0, 6-1. Laura Gulbe secured the sweep with a 6-3, 6-1 win.
The Waves will travel to Claremont, Calif. to compete in the WCC Championships from April 28-30.
