Pepperdine beach volleyball freshmen Madalyn Roh and Anika Wilson were awarded the inaugural West Coast Conference Pair of the Month honor last Friday.
At this point in the season, the duo has a 16-1 record, gaining 13 of the victories by two-set decisions. They have helped the Waves defeat six nationally ranked opponents and move into the number one spot from their original number two ranking on the AVCA Beach Coaches Poll.Â
The Waves split Saturday’s USAV Hermosa Beach Tournament, sweeping No. 6 Long Beach State, 5-0, before falling to No. 2 USC, 2-3. Pepperdine pairs Delaney Knudsen and Kaity Bailey as well as Samantha Cash and Sarah Seiber both defeated their USC opponents in two sets.Â
Next up, the Waves will rematch USC in Los Angeles on Thursday, April 14.
