Students from Juan Cabrillo Elementary School and their families walked side-by-side with volunteers and representatives from The Samburu Project on Saturday, May 19, in support of the LA-based nonprofit’s mission to provide safe drinking water to communities in need.
Juan Cabrillo students spent the last three weeks learning about the importance of clean water, including lessons on the California drought, water conservation, how a lack of access to clean water can affect health and education, and what they can do to help expand access to this important resource.
