A Red Flag Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) as strong Santa Ana winds with low relative humidity pass through Los Angeles County.
The warning will go into effect beginning at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15 and end on Thursday, April 16 around 8 p.m.
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are occurring now, or will shortly and warm temperatures could create extreme fire behavior, according to the NWS.
In addition to the warning, a Wind Advisory has also been issued, beginning at 3 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15 through 3 p.m. Thursday, April 16.
Winds could reach up to 45 mph over the next 24 hours, according to the NWS.
Motorists are advised to use caution on the road and be prepared for strong gusts of wind.
