A man died Sunday from an apparent self inflicted gunshot after a standoff with Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies near Malibou Lake, according to reports.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 2900 block of Paiute Drive Sunday morning after receiving a call of a domestic dispute, said Sergeant Anthony Arnold of Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s station.
When they arrived, deputies discovered that the suspect had barricaded himself in his home.
After a 5 hour standoff, officers entered the home and found the suspect dead with a self inflicted gunshot, said Sergeant Arnold.
Malibou Lake is an artificial lake in the Santa Monica Mountains situated between Malibu and the Conejo Valley of Ventura County.
