Strong winds will make driving conditions hazardous today, especially in the mountains and the valleys as well as the coast near Malibu, according to the National Weather Service.
Beachgoers will also face hazards due to a larger than normal rip current risk.
Travel may be difficult along Highway 1 from Malibu to Pacific Palisades. Gusty crosswinds can cause sudden loss of vehicle control.
The high wind advisory remains in effect until 3 p.m. today.
