Charles Terreal Washington, the man who on Monday allegedly robbed the Wells Fargo at Cross Creek Plaza and later intentionally rammed his car into a motorcycle Sheriff’s deputy, was arrested by El Segundo police at his Los Angeles home on Tuesday. Washington, who is a suspect in an El Segundo bank robbery and several other bank robberies in the South Bay, was charged today with attempted murder of a Sheriff’s deputy and several other charges.
Washington, 47, is scheduled to be arraigned at the LAX Courthouse later this afternoon on 14 felony counts. He is being held on $2.5 million bail.
The officer injured on Monday, Deputy James Mulay, remains at a local hospital in serious condition.
