JV baseball team wins big in tourney

In a dramatic come-from-behind win, the JV Sharks scored an astounding 13 runs in the top of the seventh inning to win 16-8 Friday at Mary Star of the Sea in San Pedro.

Sophomore Sam Yang pitched five strong innings, followed by sophomore Miles Tade who pitched during the sixth and seventh. With four RBIs, including a bases-clearing double in the seventh, freshman Hunter McMillin led the offensive attack. Freshman Andre Simoneau had a double and two singles with three RBIs, and freshman Chris Armstrong contributed a double and three singles to come away with two RBIs. Additionally, freshman Beau Richards scored a run, and freshman Michael Novak had an RBI and scored a run.
