The Malibu Garden Club, whose mission has been the beautification of Malibu for the past 50 years, is having its 10th Malibu Garden Tour on Saturday.

The tour, which is open to the public, raises funds for the club. Four private Malibu gardens, all located in West Malibu, will be open to the tour.

One garden features a lake with swans and has a vineyard on the property.

Another is designed in Provence style, with fountains and courtyards, and a third garden is “like an intimate hacienda,” a club member said, with an herb garden and a mix of native and water-wise plants.

A family garden with unusual water features is the fourth garden slated on tour. All gardens were designed with low water-use in mind.

Docents will guide guests and an English tea will be served at one of the gardens. Tour times are between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

More information and reservations can be obtained by calling 310.455.1558. The cost of the tour is $25 with reservations or $30 at the door. Tickets may be picked up at Point Dume Elementary School on the day of the tour.
