Paul and Pam Litz take a break from their Arctic adventures to pose for a quick picture.

Malibuites Paul and Pam Litz took a month-long voyage in the Arctic — from Seward, Alaska, through the Canadian archipelago and Greenland, ending in New York City. They were among 900-plus passengers aboard Crystal Serenity, the first large cruise ship ever to transverse the once-impassable Northwest Passage.

The couple enjoyed zodiac cruising next to glaciers and icebergs, meeting the locals in remote Inuit villages, observing polar bears on the surrounding ice floes and learning about the area from the lecturers onboard.
