Award-winning Malibu artist Kenny Mirman’s new large-scale steel sculpture, “Spirits Triumphant” (pictured) was unveiled in a ceremony at the DaVita UCLA Dialysis Center in West Los Angeles on May 30.
With an 82-foot width and a 35-foot height, Mirman’s tubular steel sculpture plummets below the ground before it rises up to its full, arcing reach. It signifies, he says, the personal process for triumphing over great odds in life and represents the powerful unity of art and healing.
Along with his sculptures, Mirman’s work includes computer animation for such movies as “Titanic” as well as music videos for a multitude of recording artists.
