Sparky and Jill Greene welcomed 25 Pepperdine students to their Thanksgiving dinner at Rancho del Cielo in Malibu. Foreign exchange students and those who were unable to travel home for the holiday were invited to dine on both traditional and vegan side dishes.
Avesta Carrara co-hosted the event, which, including family, fed 45 people. A three-mile hike in the hills before the meal sharpened appetites.
“I’ve never had a Thanksgiving dinner. I want to learn to cook this wonderful American food,” one of the Chinese students said.
