Sharks tie school record with win over Santa Clara

With a 4-1 victory over Santa Clara on Wednesday, Malibu high tied the school record for wins in a season. The Sharks are now 17-3 overall and 7-1 in conference play. 

Junior Noah Simon pitched a complete game, striking out six and giving up just one run and no walks. He is now 7-1 on year and 4-0 with one save. He has a 1.40 era, 49 strikeouts and has given up just three walks on the year. Chase Lambert added two more hits and two runs on the day. Freshman Dylan Ross went 3 for 4 and sophomore Austin George had two hits and two runs batted in, plus some nice defensive plays at third base.


The Sharks are in sole possession of first place at 7-1 in conference and 17-3 overall. There are seven more league games until CIF playoffs and the Sharks will look to set the school record for wins in a season on Friday when they take on Santa Clara again at Sharks field at 3:30 p.m.Â
