Malibu resident and facial plastic surgeon Davis B. Nguyen, M.D., hosted a gala fundraiser, “Makeovers for Mutts,” to benefit Much Love Animal Rescue Jan. 12. Malibu local and celebrity personal trainer Jillian Michaels, best known for her work on “The Biggest Loser,” was given the “Golden Heart” award for her work rescuing animals at the event.
More than 300 guests gathered to support the charity, which raised $35,000 in donations.
“I’m so grateful for the impressive generosity of the guests who attended and donated to show their support to Much Love Animal Rescue, whose mission is to rescue abandoned and abused shelter animals,” Nguyen said.
