I have lived in Malibu for over 50 years now and something that has become a rampant issue is the number of dogs inside all three of Malibu’s grocery stores … Vintage Grocers at Trancas, Pavillions Grocery Store in Point Dume and Ralphs Grocery Store in the Malibu Colony Plaza. We have asked several times to the manager of Vintage Grocers to ask the dog owners to take their dogs outside but have been told that he cannot legally do so. It has been the law forever and I am appalled by the disregard to health issues with all of the open food in each store. We have been bitten by fleas while sitting outside of each grocery store; so can one imagine the fleas inside of these large grocery stores? We are asking for immediate action from the city to rectify this issue.
