As all of us in Malibu know when a light goes out on PCH, traffic stops for hours. Eventually, a few sheriffs show up … and do what? Put up stop signs! I guess they didn’t notice that cars aren’t moving. After checking in with the Lost Hills station, I learned that sheriffs are not responsible for directing traffic because they are too busy investigating burglaries and doing other more important business. I think it’s time for our sheriffs to learn effective ways to do deal with a broken traffic light and it’s not by setting up stop signs and sitting in their cars watching a mile-long line of cars backed up on the highway.
