Israeli Special Olympics Delegation Welcomed by Santa Monica Mountains

Approximately 250 attendees welcomed the Israeli Special Olympics delegation to its host town, the Santa Monica Mountains, during a celebration hosted by Special Olympic athlete and gold medal swimmer Lucy Meyer and her family. Attendees included guest speaker Bobby Shriver, Malibu Mayor John Sibert, Assemblymembers Matt Dababneh and Scott Wilk, Olympian Greg Louganis and NBA player Tony Parker.

Billed as the largest sports and humanitarian event anywhere in the world in 2015, more than 6,000 athletes and 2,000 coaches representing 165 countries are participating in the Special Olympics World Games in Los Angeles through August 2.
