Last Friday night, Vintage Grocers hosted a star-studded crowd for a performance by 26-year-old crooner James DeFrances.

DeFrances’ lineup featured 20th century classics, including “Fly Me To The Moon” and “I’ve Got A Crush On You.” The crooner also dedicated special performances of “Shadow of Your Smile” and “Emily” to their composer, Johnny Mandel, who was in the audience.

Comedian and impressionist Rich Little flew in from Las Vegas to join DeFrances on stage for three Sinatra-inspired duets. Little then humored the audience with impressions of Ronald Reagan and Donald Trump.

The concert boasted the largest audience ever at a Vintage Grocers Concert Series. The Vintage Grocers Concert Series is a series of free Friday night performances that features local artists and bands. The next concert will take place on Oct. 30 with performances by Lenny Goldsmith and the New Old, and will include a Halloween costume contest.
