Our Lady of Malibu School hosted the 2015 Student Art Show last Thursday night. OLM family and friends had the opportunity to check out the a display of artwork in the Sheridan Hall “Art Gallery,” created by students in kindergarten through eighth grade. A diverse range of mixed media was used as students explored their individual senses of inspiration.
Continuing with an evening of art, seventh and eighth-grade students performed William Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” in the outdoor courtyard. Students expressed their creativity through acting, directing, set design and stage production. Art teacher Patrice Wachs, Art Angels and parent volunteers helped make this a spectacular evening under the stars. “Every child is an artist; my job is to inspire them to believe that,” Wachs said.
