Letter: Support for Randall

In January of 1970, my three children and I moved from Acapulco, Mexico to “Dog Beach” Malibu. Fortunately, our new neighbors were the Randall family. Carl Randall is continuing decades of his family’s strong community involvement service to Malibu.

As a Paradise Cove resident since 1974, I am comfortable supporting Randall for city council. He is familiar with and understands the importance of the “City of Malibu Rent Stabilization Ordinance” to Paradise Cove and Point Dume mobile-home park residents.

Randall’s Malibu-life experiences (the tragic death of his brother-in-law was struck by a veering driver while standing on shoulder of PCH, and years of living on beach/private beach access issues) make him knowledgeable and receptive to Paradise Cove problems of PCH safety, beach access road, resident and visitor safety, and coastal demands. Randall’s insight of Malibu, as well as state and county agencies will be greatly beneficial in problem solving.

A shout-out to Skylar Peak. Months ago I wrote all council regarding weeks of two dangerously low-flying helicopters. Peak, you were the only one to answer and help. You nailed it. My nervous chihuahuas, screaming parrots and I thank you very, very much.
