The Malibu Optimist Club earlier this month hosted its annual Respect for Law week. Award-winning television journalist David Lopez delivered the keynote address, reflecting on his decades of covering the legal system. Those of the Malibu legal community present and honored by the club included Judge Lawrence Mira, Commissioner Jay Ford, Malibu/Lost Hills Capt. Tom Martin and Ken Starr, dean at the Pepperdine School of Law
Optimist Program Chair Sheldon Lodmer presented Starr with a $1,000 donation for the law school’s Moot Court Program.
