Malibu resident Alex Colby qualified to compete in the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association Alpine National Championship at Copper Mountain, Colo., after winning a gold medal in the Sunshine Cup Super-G race. Colby will represent the Western region at the championship event involving ski disciplines of Slalom, Giant Slalom, Downhill and Super-G in March.
