Malibu native Scott Stewart was appointed as a law clerk to Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.

Stewart attended preschool at the Malibu Presbyterian Church, grade school at Webster Elementary School, and graduated as the valedictorian at both Malibu Middle and High School. 

Following high school, Stewart graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University and graduated with distinction from Stanford Law School, where he served as the executive editor of the Stanford Law Review.
