Fire Station 71 to Reopen November 14

The Los Angeles County Fire Department will reopen Fire Station 71 in the City of Malibu on Friday, Nov. 14 at 10 a.m. The reopening event will include a community open house and station dedication. 

The fire station has been under construction for nearly one year and firefighters were temporarily relocated to a makeshift station at Zuma Beach during construction. The new station also features a colorful mural designed by Matt Doolin of Topanga Art Tile.

The dedication will be made by Los Angeles County Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky, Malibu Mayor Skylar Peak and Fire Chief Daryl L. Osby.
