My daughter just came back from a trip to Japan. She said the Japanese are much more careful about screening for SARS than we are in Los Angeles. Shouldn’t we be stopping the ships from China that come into Long Beach Harbor at Pier J? Are we putting our children at risk for SARS because we don’t want to delay the dollars from Chinese goods that come into our country daily? Pier J is a danger to us all. Close it down until the threat of SARS is over.
