The City of Malibu’s Cultural Arts Commission is conducting a special meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 16 to discuss plans for a citywide cultural event tentatively called “Splash” and receive input from the public. The meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. at Malibu City Hall.
“The Cultural Arts Commission would like hear from as broad an array of citizens as possible about this idea,” chair Daniel Stern said. “We began talking about an event to showcase the world-class artists living and working in Malibu during the Arts Task Force deliberations in 2012, and are excited to be at a stage where we can invite more participation from our arts community and all citizens of Malibu.”
The Cultural Arts Commissioners are Chair Daniel Stern, Richard Gibbs, Scott Hosfeld, Eric Myer, Suzanne Zimmer and Graeme Clifford (ex-officio member).
