President Obama will arrive for his 17th visit to Los Angeles just in time for the evening rush hour Wednesday.
Many traffic delays are expected on the Westside as the president will attend several events between Wednesday and Thursday. Brentwood, Santa Monica and Westwood are among cities that should prepare for possible traffic delays.
Obama will be raising money for the Democratic Party, and he will also receive a humanities award from film director Steven Spielberg.
House majority leader Nancy Pelosi and Senate majority leader Harry Reid are expected to attend, along with Disney Studios Chairman Alan Horn and Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer, as some of the hosts for the fundraisers.
Locations that Obama will visit include Alan Horn’s home, the USC Shoah Foundation and the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Wilshire in Beverly Hills for a roundtable discussion.
