The Malibu Senior Center will be offering a cognitive stimulation class to help residents train their brains and sharpen their memory, beginning Sept. 3.
The eight-week course was developed to help keep the mind healthy and agile and studies have shown that mental exercise helps to fight and slow down dementia.
Instructor Tee Bar, who has over six years of hands-on experience, will be educating the participants on the subject as well as leading brain and laughing exercises.
The course will run from Sept. 3 to Oct. 29 every Thursday from 10 – 11 a.m. The cost is $20 and the class size will be limited to 20 participants, so advance registration is recommended.Â
Interested participants can register online or call the Malibu Senior Center at 310.456.2489 ext. 357.
