Crime Report

The following incidents were reported between 8/5-15:


Time Out

A watch was reported stolen from the master bedroom closet of a home undergoing renovations on Selfridge Drive.


Security Breach

A victim reported almost $5,000 withdrawn from their banking account, and after further investigation discovered the suspect also opened eight other accounts using the victim’s social security number.


Beach Burglary

An iPhone, wallet, credit cards and driver’s license were stolen from a vehicle parked on PCH around 12:30 p.m. The victim also reported strange activity on the stolen credit card.


Checked In

A resident found a check at the Malibu Library and turned it into the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station.


Picked Purse

A Louis Vuitton handbag, sunglasses and clothing valued over $1,500 were stolen from a victim at a restaurant on PCH. The suspect then attempted to use the victim’s credit card to purchase more than $1,200 worth of apparel.


Grand Grab

An office was broken into on Mulholland Drive and a safe containing more than $16,000 was stolen, in addition to a laptop and storage container.
