The brochure sent by Ozzie Silna last week with a picture of a little girl next to a picture of a bulldozer crossed the line. The brochure is false, misleading and a personal insult. For the record, I have never supported, nor do I plan to ever support, excessive development in Malibu. I will protect Malibu’s future. As a mother, I live to protect my children and their future. I care for them every day and teach them through my actions and deeds. I challenge Mr. Silna to do the same. I hope that Mr. Silna will stop the mud-slinging rhetoric. I hope Mr. Silna can set an example for all of Malibu to emulate. Give freely, love honestly and play fairly. Why does Mr. Silna want to continue to divide our community? Perhaps his real motive is to divide and conquer. Playing on a team is a lot different than owning a team. I am on Malibu’s team regardless of what Mr. Silna’s brochures state and/or imply. Which team is Mr. Silna on, or does he just own one? The voters will decide.
